Düsseldorf - EDDL

Düsseldorf International ist der größte Flughafen Nordrhein-Westfalens und das Tor zur Welt für das bevölkerungsreichste deutsche Bundesland. In einer der wirtschaftsstärksten Regionen Europas mit 18 Millionen Einwohnern in einem Umkreis von 100 Kilometern gelegen, hat Düsseldorf International eine herausragende Bedeutung für die Erfüllung der Mobilitätsbedürfnisse der Bürger und der Wirtschaft in NRW. Rund 15,3 Millionen Fluggäste werden jährlich am Airport gezählt, und 42.000 Passagiere starten oder landen hier durchschnittlich pro Tag. Damit ist Düsseldorf International der drittgrößte deutsche Verkehrsflughafen. Die Fluggäste können aus rund 170 Touristik- und Linienflugzielen im Interkontinental- und Europaverkehr sowie innerhalb Deutschlands und rund 70 Airlines wählen. Mit seinem im Jahr 2003 fertig gestellten Terminal hat der Flughafen international Maßstäbe gesetzt. Die Architektur des Gebäudes besticht durch Transparenz und Leichtigkeit. Richtungweisend sind die optimalen Betriebsabläufe, die Serviceangebote sowie das Sicherheitskonzept. Im Zentralgebäude, das die Flugsteige A, B und C verbindet, kann der Passagier an rund 150 Check-In-Schaltern sein Gepäck schnell und bequem aufgeben.
